the basics

look, we keep things simple with your data. we only collect what we absolutely need to make gary work for you. here's what's up:

user points & google sign-in

if you choose to sign in with google (totally optional btw), we'll store:

• your google email address (just to sync your points across devices)
• your user points balance

that's literally it. we don't snoop around in your google account or collect any other info. you can use the app without signing in - we'll just store your points locally on your device instead.

ads

gary's gotta eat computers to keep making those grungy beats, so we have some ads powered by google admob. you can disable them in settings if you're not about that life.

the boring but necessary details about ads - google admob might collect some basic stuff like:

• device identifiers (to show relevant ads)
• basic usage data (to know when to show ads)
• ad interaction data (to know if the ads are doing their thing)

how we handle your data

we take your privacy seriously (even if we don't write seriously). here's how we handle your data:

• your email is only used for points syncing - nothing else
• we use industry-standard security to protect your data
• we never sell your data or share it with third parties (except the necessary ad stuff with google admob)
• ad data isn't linked to your identity - we keep that separate

data retention & deletion

here's what happens to your data:

• if you delete your account, we'll remove your email and points data right away
• if you stop using the app, we'll keep your points data for a year (in case you come back), then delete it
• for the ad data that google admob collects, they handle all the retention according to their policies

your choices

you're in control:

• use the app without google sign-in - totally cool
• turn off ads in settings - we get it

we only use two google services:

• google sign-in (optional) - check out their privacy policy
• google admob for ads - same privacy policy
